There's nothing worse for restorers than not being able to get a replacement part, or having to wait months for it or using a part that is a poor imitation of the Real McCoy. Those restoring early model Holdens now have the chance to obtain quality replacements parts and accessories, made using Holden's original tooling.
Holden and Rare Spares have launched a `Holden Restoration Parts by Rare Spares' program for enthusiasts of the Holden classics. The program will give owners of Holden classic vehicles the opportunity to purchase high-quality replacement parts and accessories, said Holden Aftersales Director, John Scotton.
He said Holden and Rare Spares shared a vision of seeing historic Holden vehicles driven and admired long after leaving the showroom. He said the alliance between Holden and Rare Spares was a natural fit for this type of program. Parts and accessories will be available from the first Holden the 48-215 the FX, through to Commodore VS.
The parts and accessories will be available through selected Holden dealers, the Rare Spares distribution network or on line at: www.holdenrestorationparts.com.au Restorers will be able to locate parts such as wheel caps, decals, badges, trim, engine and cooling parts, electrical and plastic lamps and lenses.
Rare Spares has a long history of making classic Holden parts, but the new program using Holden tooling would improve both price and availability of parts and accessories and ensure consistent supply of required parts. The real winners will be the restorers who have genuine replacements parts for their much-loved classics. |
