No motor show is complete without glitz and glamour and the 2010 Australian International Motor Show, which opens it's doors to the public from October 15 – 24 was no exception, with the girls of the motor show proving a big hit with the tyre kickers and motoring media.
It was Sydney's first international motor show for two years and the first under the new arrangement where Melbourne and Sydney take it turn about each year to host the event. Held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, the event attracted almost all major manufacturers, who were more than happy to splurge out on glamorous models to show off their latest machines.
This is the venue where Australia's motoring industry traditionally spotlight the latest and the best on four wheels, from the new Gullwing Mercedes Benz ... to the-about-to-be released Nissan Micra, Ford's Australian-designed Ranger and a raft of electric and hybrid cars.
For motoring media it's a hectic, leg-wearying, shuffle from stand to stand to listen to spiel from each maker about their latest and greatest. Standard fare is a pie or two from that Sydney institution, Harry's Cafe De Wheels. And, as our images show, the eye candy is not just on four wheels. Welcome to the Girls of the Australian International Motor Show, presented by mister-cars.com.
