What better way to celebrate your 20th anniversary than to fit a new set of 20-inch boots? Wheels, that is, because HSV 20-inch Pentagon wheels in Millennium Silver are being installed at no extra charge to a limited number of ClubSport R8 models as the hot machine approaches its 20th birthday. The standard fitment wheels on the ClubSport are 19-inch numbers.

                      

With the official title of “20 Years of ClubSport” this special model also receives HSV’s performance suspension to make the best use of the wheels and Bridgestone Potenza tyres.

Included in the 20 Years HSV package are leather trimmed seats, again installed at no additional cost.

The 20 Years of ClubSport model will be identifiable by a specially designed decal on the rear window that HSV feels the typical HSV enthusiast will see as a modern iteration of the original VN “CS ClubSport” badge.

                 

Power continues to be provided by the famed HSV 317 kW, 425 horsepower, 6.2-litre Gen4 V8 LS3 engine that's an HSV modified variant of a Chevrolet powerplant.

The limited edition “20 Years of ClubSport” models will go on sale from specialist HSV dealers from late June. Only 100 vehicles are to be built and HSV anticipates they will sell very quickly. City Motors HSV in Perth recorded the highest HSV vehicle sales in 2009 and has grabbed the company's offer of selling the No 1 build vehicle.

                                 

The vehicle will have a recommended retail price of $66,690 for the six-speed manual variant, and $68,690 for the six-speed automatic transmission. The auto comes with HSV's Active Select system that provides a good deal of manual override when the driver wants to really push for the best from the car.
