Isuzu UTE Australia has released its second limited edition high-specifications ute to coincide with the company’s second year of local sales as a specialist one tonne utility importer. Called the LE II, the up-specced D-Max crew cab is limited to 180 units Australia-wide.
LE II is based on the best-equipped and best selling D-Max, the LS-U 4x4 crew cab, with around $9000 in extras that add $5000 to the bottom line of usual LS-U pricing at $47,300 before on road costs.

For those who want to push the D-Max envelope further there's also an Italian leather trim option available at $2400. This package includes silver-stitched charcoal Italian leather trim on the seats, with the front backrests monogrammed, door trim inserts and the centre console featuring a padded elbow rest.
The starring role in the LE II is given to a Kenwood touch-screen hi-fi head unit with Garmin satellite navigation, reversing camera view and DVD, USB and iPod/iPhone and Bluetooth connectivity. This is in addition to CD/AM/FM audio with ACC/MP3/WMA compatability, all played through LE II's six speakers. The unit has detachable face security and includes remote control.
Also inside, the exterior colours extend to styled side steps that integrate polished aluminium step inserts with rubber grip stipples. The door sill scuff plates are branded as well as custom carpet mats, with the front pair monogrammed.
The limited edition's exterior also features a lockable hard tonneau cover and chrome nudge and sports bars, bonnet protector, fog light recess bezels and tail light guards. Special `Limited Edition II' badging is also on the tub's rear flank and there’s an LE II graphic in the custom striping on the lower part of the doors.
This is the second limited edition Isuzu ute, the first being the D-Max Pearl that was released late in 2009.
The latest limited edition also features a pearl effect with two new colours: Lunar White and Solar Bronze. The LE II only comes as a 4X4 and includes the basic D-Max fare of three tonne towing capacity, 3.0 litre turbo-diesel engine, and shift-on-the-fly between 2WD and 4WD. |
