Proton Low On Price, But Not On Features Proton has announced its eagerly-awaited low-cost model, the S16, will go on sale in Australia on November 1 – and that it will sell for a driveaway price of less than $13,000. The Malaysian company has built the Proton Saga for many years now and the Australia version will be imported as the S16. The most recent update of the Saga/S16 was introduced in 2008 so should be right up to date when it reaches our shores.

PT Cruiser Special Edition It's hard to believe the Chrysler PT Cruiser is in its tenth year on the Australian market. Those who said automotive retro styling was a fad that would never last have been rather quiet of late... Fortunately while other models in the Chrysler range have been cut, the PT Cruiser continues on its stylish way for the 2010 season.

Toyota Aurion Gets More Visual Power Toyota Australia must be very pleased with the sales results of its Aurion V6. Because, while it has given the complete range a visual makeover, it has left the mechanical components virtually untouched. In a conservative post-GFC world where underbonnet changes are more the norm these days, with the looks of the car remaining as before, Toyota has gone in the opposite direction.
